It's a Princess
Her Royal Highness Princess Marie gave birth to a healthy princess on Tuesday 24 january 2012 pm. 8.27 at Rigshospitalet.
Weight: 2930 grams, length: 49 cm.
Mother and child are doing well.
His Royal Highness Prince Joachim was present during the entire course at the University Hospital.

Prince Joachim appeared in front of the press after the birth. The little girl has dark hair and "She is beautiful". Joachim was present all the time during the birth. They have known for a while it was going to be a girl which was especially Joachim's wish after his three boys.
He didn't answer the question about a possible next baby, though ;)
Later in the early evening, the first visitors arrived.

I´m so happy for them. Congratulations for all family. And i'm sure that she is gorgeous. Prince Nikolai said: "I hope she looks like me." And so do we!! Such a beautiful family, she must be adorable!!
Court announced today that the baby is leaving the hospital tomorrow (friday) around 11 o´clock Denmark time. Nice to see her atlast!
